Our Reach

Community Builders has worked in communities across Ontario including the Scarborough and Jane Finch neighbourhoods of Toronto, York Region, Brantford, Six Nations of the Grand River, Sudbury, Espanola, Manitoulin Island and Sagamok Anishnawbek.

We have worked in close partnership with 14 public and Catholic school boards and 7 First Nations communities. Since 1998, we have trained more than 2500 student leaders from Grades 4 to 8 in over 100 schools who have delivered classroom workshops in their schools. Community Builders programs lead by our student leaders and our expert training team have reached over 70,000 people!

Community Builders has also presented workshops at conferences since 1998, incorporating elementary student leaders as part of our leadership team. Venues have included, among others, the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UT) Educating for Peace and Justice Conference, Laurentian University Faculty of Education teacher candidate workshops, the Canadian Safe Schools Network Safe Schools Conference, the YouCan Restorative Justice Conference, and the Boys & Girls Club of Canada National Conference.
